STUDIO CANVASES: a moment suspended in time
In his studio, Saype develops an in-depth pictorial practice, of which the “Buées” series is the most emblematic expression. On a single canvas, he combines with ultra-realistic precision the surface of a misted window and the landscape revealed beyond it — often a sunset or a luminous, suspended scene. Childlike drawings appear on the condensation, adding an intimate and universal dimension to the work. Through this virtuoso technique, the artist manages to freeze a fragile moment, caught between vision and disappearance, inviting the viewer to cross this imaginary threshold and embark on a poetic journey where time seems to stand still.
