Vers l'horizon | Villars 2025
With this new mural, Saype continues the poetic narrative begun on the peaks of Villars several years ago. After building, observing, contemplating, and drawing, the child returns to the forefront, ready to cross a threshold.
This time, he stands up. A simple gesture, yet laden with meaning: the act of taking action. After gathering knowledge, comparing viewpoints, and nurturing his imagination, he leaves tranquility to embark on an adventure. Standing on the grassy ridge, he seems ready to walk toward the world, his gaze fixed on the horizon, that symbolic place where possibilities are born. This horizon embodies the promise of a path to forge, the quest for a direction to follow, the drive toward an open future without forgetting the past.
Around him, the symbols from previous works reappear: a cairn, books, a sketchbook, and a pillow. These elements are all symbols of the child's gradual development, an inner architecture built from learning, experiences, and dreams.
