This is the story told in this mural, part of a diptych created in the Lake Turkana region of northern Kenya. In the heart of a lunar landscape, a little boy looks up at the vastness of the starry sky. In his eyes, a burning desire: to conquer space, to cross Earth's borders, and to unlock the secrets of the universe. From above, the light from the boy's lamp illuminates the little girl's silhouette—as if, across space, their dreams were meeting.
