Comfortably settled at the top of the mountain, a little girl has just closed her books to fall asleep under the stars. Before sleep gently shuts her eyes, she gazes at the heavens, experiencing that ineffable moment when the infinity of the universe reveals itself. Often, it is while looking into the vastness of the skies that we become aware of our place on this tiny Earth, lost in the "plurality of worlds" (Fontenelle).
While some may be frightened by the "eternal silence of infinite spaces" (Pascal), the dizzying void gives way on this little girl’s peaceful face to a sense of fulfillment—none other than the pure joy of existence.
