Beyond Walls PROJECT

For the creation of his 21st stage of Beyond Walls, a world-work initiated in 2019 in Paris, Saype chose Vilnius. The gigantic hands of Beyond Walls are made at the foot of the legendary Gediminas Tower. This site, full of history and symbols, was once the starting point of the Baltic Way, where 2 million people united on August 23, 1989 to create the largest human chain in the history of humanity.

This work reminds us that human solidarity is not a notion frozen in the past, but a living bond that spans the ages and continues to shape our present.
